Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year, PHSSA!

July 20, 2022

Greetings PHSSA Community,

August is nearly upon us and the new school year is about to begin. We are excited to cultivate a community of acorns to become mighty oaks! Please be ready to learn and grow beginning August 1, 2022 for all students grades 1-5. Our kindergarten students will begin a staggered entry by last name August 2-5, with the first full day for our youngest acorns on Monday, August 8.

We are excited to continue our uniform program to support an atmosphere focused on the teaching and learning process. Students are to wear:
  • Solid navy blue or white collared shirts
  • Clothing free from graphics with the exception of PHSSA logos
  • Khaki or navy blue long pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers
  • Hems 2” above the knee or lower
  • Sweaters that are solid navy blue
  • PHSSA hoodies
More information about our uniform policy can be found here.

We look forward to seeing our students arrive on time 7:45-8:00 AM. Our acorns need every minute to learn and develop, so attendance and participation is expected for success.

We are excited to get our fine arts program rebooted and continue our focus on environmental science. We are going to work on finding the talents our students have, honing in on them, and allowing them to explore those talents in a manner that motivates positivity while they learn.

There will be some new faces on the staff this year and we invite you to share in the collaborative spirit that has rooted our great school in the community.

Thank you for being patient with us during our transitions as we are seeded, rooted, and growing together.

With respect,
Ms. Hudson
